Want to know more – the Logistics

Entrance will be payable on the day.  To help give us an idea of numbers, please email with an expression of interest.  The hall has a limited capacity so we can look to run another earlier session if there is significant demand.

The event will be held at Redborne Upper School (north campus – up the hill) in the sports hall.  There is parking on site (ideally use bottom car park closest to the sports hall) and we will put signs up on the day.

Please turn up 15 minutes before the event as we will need you to complete registration information for each participant.

FAQ

Who is this aimed at?
The inspiration for this event was simply to help Harry and also to provide a means for those that he plays cricket with to get involved in his funding campaign.  You don’t have to be a member of any cricket club to turn up.

Can I just turn up on the day?
Yes.  Capacity in the hall is limited so it will be helpful to have an idea of numbers ahead of time.  We understand that not everyone may be able to stay for each full session.  Equally, you can just turn up grab cake and raffle tickets and head off.

How will you manage children of different age groups?
We will look to split older and younger children into groups so that activities are age appropriate.  All cricket events will use soft balls so no pads, gloves etc are needed.  We will provide all equipment

I would like to help – who do I get in touch with and what can I do?
There are many ways you can help out on the day from helping with some of the cricket activities, front of house, refreshments etc.  Please contact one of the organisers.  You don’t need to stay for the whole time.

Will there be refreshments?
The venue has an area next to the sports hall where drinks and cakes will be served.  If you would like to bring a cake or otherwise help out then we would love to have some volunteers

I am busy that day but would like to help in some other way?
Please help publicise the event
You can buy a raffle tickets or donate raffle prizes via any of the organisers or clubs
You can make a donation at https://uk.gofundme.com/madaboutharry

Can I drop my child off and pick her/him up at the end?
We request that a responsible adult for each child remain on site during the event.

What sort of activities will you run?
There will be some cricket skills but mostly it will be fun games and activities, include old favourites such as quick cricket, golden child.
