Mad About Harry
Posted by Chris Ricaldone on 21 January 2019
Harry Banks is a smiley, cheeky 10-year old boy who is an AGCC junior member along with his brother Oscar.
In 2014 Harry was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a very rare and aggressive children’s cancer. After bravely enduring two years of intensive treatment Harry had two and a half years in remission. However in November 2018 Harry and his family were given the distressing news that the neuroblastoma had returned.
Mad About Harry aims to raise £500,000 for a ground-breaking medical trial at MSK in New York or in Barcelona. The NHS is unfortunately unable to help Harry now so this privately-funded treatment is the only lifeline available.
Please visit http://madaboutharry.org to read Harry’s full story, find out how you can help or make a donation. Any support you can provide would be very much appreciated by Harry and his family.
The Club is planning to run a couple of events in support of Harry, so please note the following dates and look out for further details which will be shared as soon as possible:
- Sunday 3rd February - All-day ‘Crickethon’ for Junior team-mates of Harry and Oscar
- Sunday 24th February - Aspley Guise CC XI vs Eversholt CC XI at The Common
