This year’s East Beds Charity Cricket Shield Golf Day is being held on Friday 24th April. It will again take place at The Bedford Golf Club, Carnoustie Drive, Great Denham, Bedford, MK40 4FF.
There will be upto 16 fourballs playing Stableford format, with the best three of four to score on each hole. (Full handicaps to apply maximum allowed 24).
The cost is £40 per person to include bacon roll/coffee on arrival, golf and an informal evening meal of Roast Beef. Payment of £160 per team is due prior to Friday 12th April (ideally by Friday 13th March at the latest). If anyone would like to join for just the evening meal, this will cost £15 a head.
Prizes
- Peter Maudlin Trophy for the winning team (current holder Biggleswade Town CC).
- Ted and Josie Smith Memorial Shield for the individual winner (current holder Josh Malkani from Flitwick CC)
- Prize for the longest drive on one hole and a prize for nearest the pin on one hole
There will be an Auction/raffle after dinner (donations of prizes please).
All proceeds for the benefit of the East Beds Charity Cricket Shield. Last year’s Golf Day raised £2,240 for the Charities supported by the Shield.
We would very much like to enter at least one Aspley Guise Cricket Club four-ball team in support of this excellent cause. With this in mind, if you would like to participate then please email agcc.communication@outlook.com as soon as possible. Alternatively if you have any questions please contact Ian Smith (Ampthill Town Cricket Club) on 07880 850269 or by email cricketsmithy@gmail.com.
